My name is Vlad Skvortsov, I am a software engineer with primary focus on server-side development on UNIX platform. For detailed information about my skills and areas of expertise please see the resume. I live in Mountain View, CA, USA.

I currently work for Yahoo!, FlexForce Team (a.k.a. The Tiger Team), Platform Engineering.

Besides my day job I'm busy with the following projects:

• ongoing Ph.D. work for Ulyanovsk State Technical University in the domain of information retrieval systems operation modeling and simulation;
• DITrack — a lightweight distributed issue tracking system with Subversion as a backend database and plain text data format (open-source);
• WadcomBlog — a static blog engine, powering my own blog.
